SUMMARY

The Special Education Teacher provides appropriate educational programming for elementary-aged students with ASD and related disabilities, including but not limited to intellectual disabilities, developmental delays, and other health impairments, in a sub-separate setting. The teacher employs the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and other evidence-based methodologies to design and deliver individualized instruction aligned with each student's IEP goals. The teacher is responsible for supervising students within the classroom and other assigned school settings, creating developmentally appropriate lesson plans and delivering structured instruction within established elementary curriculum frameworks. They will also utilize ABA principles such as discrete trial teaching, reinforcement systems, and data collection to drive instructional decisions. The teacher will collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, paraprofessionals, and building administrators to support student growth while maintaining ongoing, accessible communication with parents/guardians regarding instructional programs, student progress, and the home-school connection.
